Understanding your contractual requirements
As part of the national Aged Care Reforms, Silverchain is responsible for the care and services delivered by your workforce, on our behalf. Our contract outlines the regulatory requirements that apply to your workforce, to ensure they provide safe and quality care for our clients.
These include ensuring that your workers have valid working rights, and the appropriate knowledge and training to deliver the services agreed in your contract.
Attendance documentation
Your workforce will need to record their attendance in the Provider Attendance Record located in our client’s Silverchain home file, every time they deliver care or services.
For gardening and maintenance services in WA, we encourage workers to complete the attendance record. If this isn’t available, we’ll confirm attendance through our monthly client check ins.
Care and services documentation
Your workforce must complete care and services documentation at every visit. This includes reviewing client’s care and services plan, which is available in our clients Silverchain home file. For gardening or maintenance services, your team will need to follow the instructions provided at the time of service allocation.
Allied health professionals must update all relevant records, including assessments, care plans, progress notes and prescriptions.
Invoicing
To ensure we can pay promptly, we require specific information about our client and the services you provided on behalf of Silverchain. Our associated provider handbook provides clear details on invoicing requirements.
