National accreditation

Accreditation in the health care and aged care standards means we are regularly assessed on the safety and quality of our services by the relevant authorities.

Our priority is delivering the highest standard of care, and being accredited is an important quality improvement process. As a health and aged care service provider, we are assessed and accredited against the following standards:

National Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS)

Silverchain meets the eight Aged Care Quality Standards, designed to empower older Australians, and ensure they are provided with the care that is right for them. Each standard of care is about an aspect of care that contributes to safety, health and wellbeing. 

Our Support at Home Program services is accredited under the Aged Care Quality Standards. 

National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS)

We are a member of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). ACHS is responsible for assessing health care organisations for accreditation. We are also assessed independently against eight National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS Standards) that are designed to provide consumers with a nationally consistent statement about the level of care consumers can expect from health services. 

The process of NSQHS is voluntary, but we believe it provides an opportunity for Silverchain to demonstrate that we provide a nationally consistent level of care.
