Palliative Care helps people living with a life limiting illness enjoy a good quality of life.

A life limiting illness is one that you are likely to die from in the future, as there is little or no prospects of a cure. Palliative Care can help you live an active life for many years.

People of all ages can receive Palliative Care. You can receive it at a hospital, residential aged care facility or at home. Depending on your needs, you can go in and out of care whenever you need.

Receiving Palliative Care does not mean you will die soon. You can receive care at any stage during your life limiting illness, which can be for several years.

We believe everyone deserves the right to choose where they receive their care. But while nearly 70% of Australians would prefer to die at home but only 15% are able to do so.1
