Three generations of strong caring women
At Silverchain Group, our greatest strength is our people who are driven by integrity and humanity and strive to deliver Best Care, to every person, every time.
One Silverchain family knows all about quality care. This Mother’s Day, three-generations of women, client Jean Simpson, her daughter Jennifer Bertram a Care Aid, and grand-daughter Lillian Beumer a Wellness Accessor, reflect on how the power of care brought them all to Silverchain Group.
Lillian, who now has two daughters of her own was the most recent family member to join Silverchain Group in Albany.
“I am always so happy when I am at work. Helping people stay at home and live independently is so important to me,” Lillian added.
Care Aid, Jennifer Bertram loves taking her clients out for social activities and has known some of them for more than 20 years.
“The bond I share with my clients at the social centres is very special. They are a big part of my life,” said Jennifer.
For Jennifer, knowing her mum Jean can live independently at home with the help of Silverchain brings a sense of relief for the family.
“When dad died, we worried about mum being alone. She joined Silverchain and now they pick her up weekly for trips to the social centre and she also receives in-home domestic care services,” said Jennifer.
“I see every day how caring and dedicated the staff are, so I know my mum will always be in safe hands,” Jennifer added.
Silverchain Group’s flexible working hours, job security and rewarding job roles allow Jennifer and Lillian to make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in the community.
This Mother’s Day, Jennifer will spend the morning working at Pendana social centre, and then as a family will celebrate Lillian’s daughter, Rose’s third birthday.
